Robby McCrorie and the unseen Rangers dark arts as Celtic flashpoint receives Allan McGregor nod

Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor was given a nod during the Celtic clash - despite not playing a minute of the 3-0 victory.

Robby McCrorie started between the sticks after Michael Beale back the 25-year-old to make his claim to become a regular starter in Govan before the curtain comes down on the Scottish Premiership campaign. He did his chances no harm with his second consecutive clean sheet as he shut out Ange Postecoglou's champions with a series of impressive stops in Govan at key points in the derby showdown.

However, eagle-eyed punters and pundits spotted a moment that showed McGregor's lingering influence over the Rangers' goalkeeping position as Hoops' striker Hyeongyu Oh looked to close the shot-stopper down with a high press. The South Korean forward jumps into the stopper after he rushed off his line to collect the ball. As he goes to take the goal-kick, McCrorie appears to barge into Oh.

The Celtic frontman then tumbles to the ground before play quickly moves on. As the incident happened, former Rangers striker Kenny Miller was quick to point out the altercation on air - and McGregor's potential role.

He told BBC Sportsound: "Oh has went to close him down and it looks like he was just had a wee flick out. You can tell he has been training with and learning from Allan McGregor."
