Robbie Savage believes Patrick Bamford lacks quality in the Premier League and has urged Leeds United to move for a '20-goal-a-season' striker. The Whites' number nine was left to rue a costly late miss on Tuesday night in the home draw with Leicester City.
Luis Sinisterra opened the scoring for Javi Gracia's side, only for Jamie Vardy to pull the Foxes level 10 minutes' from time. In the final minute of regulation time, Bamford was found unmarked at the back post for a Leeds corner, only to drag his strike from a couple of yards wide.
It was a miss which left both the striker and his manager in disbelief, with Leeds unable to snatch a winner in added time. The draw means the Whites are now two points clear of the relegation zone, although Everton can leapfrog them with victory over Newcastle United on Thursday night.

Savage was on punditry duties for BT Sport at Elland Road, and reckons Leeds ultimately did well to gain a point from a contest. The 48-year-old labelled the hosts 'poor', pointing to Bamford as an example of a team which struggles going forward.
Savage told BT Sport: "I thought Leicester should have won the game. Two set pieces right towards the end, great save from Iverson and the Bamford chance, I think he would have been offside but Leicester’s substitutions again changed the game - credit to Dean Smith.
"Their movement in attacking areas. I thought Leeds were poor. I thought Leeds in forward areas were poor. Bamford tries, and listen, he’s had a fantastic career, but I think in the Premier League Leeds need to get a 20-goal-a-season striker.
"They’re hard to find, it’s not just on Bamford. I just think if you look at the attacking threat of Leicester, the players they can bring on. Gnonto - I’m surprised he didn’t come on today."
