Manchester United youngster Charlie Savage scored his first career senior goal for loan club Forest Green Rovers’ in their League One clash with Bristol Rovers.
The midfielder fired home on 12 minutes to give the bottom club the lead, and United fans are elated that the 19-year-old had notched his maiden strike on senior football.
Savage made his United debut late on in December 2021’s dead rubber Champions League group stage match against Young Boys. He put in a number of solid showings in pre-season but failed to play competitively under Erik ten Hag before his January move to Forest Green was secured.

After producing a massive ‘YES!’, the former Derby and Blackburn midfielder - also once of United’s academy - added, “My boy has scored! Go on my boy!” while punching the air.
Forest Green fans were overjoyed to see their loan signing open the scoring with United followers joining them in the celebrations. Reds supporters on Twitter sent their congratulations to the youngster with some forecasting a bright future for the teenager.
