Asa Butterfield, who stars in Sex Education scored shortly after the restart before England and Manchester United legend Paul Scholes struck a sweet, low drive to put his side into the lead. However that was as good as it got for the Three Lions as the arrival of Robbie Keane swung things in World XI's favour.
The ex-Spurs and Liverpool striker made an immediate impact as he scored with an excellent strike that swung in off the post. He repeated the feat moments later and chipped the ball past grounded England goalkeeper Paddy McGuinness.
As fatigue began to set in Love Island star Kem Cetinay latched onto a poor Mo Farah pass to run from his own half and fire home past McGuinness once again. It was his fifth Soccer Aid goal and World XI's fourth of the night.
The score at full-time was England 2-4 World XI. It was World XI's fifth stright Soccer Aid victory. The event raised over €17m for humanitarian aid organisation, UNICEF.
