Makeup artist Lisa Carmichael had no idea she'd get such an overwhelming response to a simple good deed.
The celebrity MUA knows full well how stressful getting ready for a major event can be, and was compelled to do her bit to help others feel extra special come prom.
Determined to spread some cheer (and a whole lot of sparkle) Lisa took to Facebook offering to donate her hair and makeup services to someone in need - without costing them a penny.
Lisa, from Glasgow, was blown way by the reaction of Glaswegians, who liked her post nearly 1.3k times.
Her post read: "I’d like to volunteer myself as a free makeup artist on prom days for those who can’t afford to book. Anyone know where I would begin or what schools might be interested?
"I heard a horrible story that a girl never went to her prom because she wouldn’t have fitted in due to not having all the tan, lashes etc. I can’t be having that if I can help.
"I’m the makeup artist for Robbie Coltrane (pure name dropping here but it might make the kids feel cool).
"Thanks want to do something nice back. I can also do hair."
If you or someone you know would benefit from getting glammed up for free, you can see full details on the post here.
Beautiful on the inside and out - gaun yerself Lisa!
