Rob Rinder sent Valentine's Day flowers from Lulu after ending up in hospital

Rob Rinder was cheered up yesterday after being hospitalised as singing icon Lulu sent him Valentine's Day flowers.

Yesterday, the TV host, also known as Judge Rinder, presented Good Morning Britain and admitted that he was starstruck to be interviewing Shout singer Lulu, but just hours later he landed in hospital requiring surgery.

Rinder announced the news on his Instagram saying his day took quite the turn.

He wrote: "Started the day holding politicians to account @gmb then meeting @lulukc and @therealsambora, ended it having a prolapsed disc in my back healed.

"The challenge of life is that it can change at any moment….Hold on to joy wherever you find it…(feeling much better now.. thank you incredible medical staff) x."

However, later that day, the 44-year-old took to his Instagram stories to say he had been cheered up by receiving a special delivery from Lulu when he returned home.

He shared a snap of a beautiful bunch of red roses with a card which read:" Happy Valentine's Day darling, Love Lulu x."

Alongside the pic, he wrote: "When you return home and find out that @lulukc is your valentine.. who needs a hot scaffolder anyway.. she makes me want to shout".

Following his appearance on GMB, many have called for Rinder to land a full time slot on the show, after they applauded the way he handles interviews.

He was praised by many for his questions to Labour Party Angela Rayner, where he asked her whether her party would be committed to reducing government spending.

During the discussion, Robert interrupted and said: "I’m so sorry, I’m going to get into terrible trouble on social media, I don’t really care – these are not difficult questions."

And again he added: "Cleaning up politics is important, I'm talking over you Angela Rayner because we don't have time, it's not a party political broadcast."
