Rob Holding and Aaron Ramsdale deliver honest verdict on Tottenham amid Arsenal's top-four boost

Aaron Ramsdale has claimed that he didn't know Tottenham Hotspur beat Leicester City following Arsenal's victory against West Ham United.

The Lillywhites secured a 3-1 win against the Foxes thanks to a Harry Kane goal and a Son Heung-Min brace, putting pressure on the Gunners, who needed a win to regain the fourth spot in the Premier League standings. Goals from centre-backs Rob Holding and Gabriel Magalhaes made Jarrod Bowen's first-half strike redundant.

And after the match, goalkeeper Ramsdale said that he had no idea that Spurs had beaten Brendan Rodgers' side. Speaking to Sky Sports after his side beat the Hammers, the England international said: "I didn’t know they won so it was vital that we had we get three points. Every game from now until the end of the season is vital for us to get three points for that fourth place, or third place if we look even higher."

Man of the match Holding weighed in on the top-four situation, urging his teammates to deal with the pressure that they will face in the next few weeks. "We knew they [Spurs] had scored an early goal", Holding told Sky Sports. "We have to deal with the pressure. We’ll see how we keep going on until the end of season."

The former Bolton defender added: "It’s going to be touch and go at times. If we can control what we do and keep picking up the points, that’s all we can worry about."

Next for the Gunners is Leeds United at the Emirates Stadium whilst Spurs travel to Anfield to take on Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool.
