The way things are trending, the Los Angeles Rams should put Steve Avila in bubble wrap until Week 1. On Thursday afternoon, right tackle Rob Havenstein injured his foot and was forced to leave practice early.
Sean McVay didn’t know the severity of the injury during his post-practice press conference, so it’s to be determined how long it might keep the Rams’ right tackle on the sideline.
Havenstein is now the Rams’ fourth offensive lineman to get hurt at some point in training camp. Kevin Dotson has returned from his toe injury, but Alaric Jackson is out with an ankle issue and Jonah Jackson is week-to-week with a bruised scapula.
McVay did share some good news on Alaric Jackson, saying he should be back soon and may even return in time for Sunday’s joint practice with the Chargers.
McVay says Alaric Jackson will be back sooner than later. Doesn’t expect it to be long term. Hopeful about him being able to go for joint practice with Chargers on Sunday but TBD. https://t.co/WqECOvq8Py
