Rob Gronkowski has already come out of retirement once, could he do it again?
According to the former NFL tight end, he doesn’t think anyone could convince him to come back to the sport, but there is one NFL coach who would have the best chance: Giants coach Brian Daboll.
“Brian Daboll, play for my hometown team,” Gronkowski told Kay Adams on a recent Up & Adams show. “I mean, he can’t get me out of retirement, but he’d have the best chance of getting me out of retirement.”
Gronkowski, a five-time Pro Bowler, added that he thinks Daboll wants him on New York’s roster.

Every so often after Gronkowski’s second retirement following the 2021 season, the four-time Super Bowl champion has sparked rumors about another potential unretirement. He admitted it’s because he likes to think he can still play at the professional level.
In the past, the 34-year-old has said there’s a “slim chance” he would ever return to the NFL. Based on this latest interview, it seems that his mindset hasn’t changed.
