A number of roads are closed and traffic is building after a Porsche and Ford crashed on a busy roundabout.
Merseyside Police were called to the Lord Street roundabout in S outhport, at the junction of Duke Street, just before 5pm on Tuesday, November 1, following reports of a crash. Once at the scene officers found a blue Porsche and a Grey Ford Puma had crashed on the roundabout.
Police requested help from Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service as one person needed to be cut out of their vehicle. An ambulance was also called to the scene to treat the drivers for minor injuries.

Both vehicles stopped at the scene and are assisting police with their enquiries. People are being advised to avoid the area for a number of hours while emergency services are at the scene.
A spokesperson from Sefton Police said: "Due to a collision at the junction of Lord Street with Duke Street in Southport, the roundabout is currently closed to traffic coming from the Promenade/Rotten Row direction. Please avoid this junction for the next hour or two. Thank you."
