A number of roads were closed after a car burst into flames.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service received a call at 3.08pm on Tuesday, May 30 following reports of a vehicle fire at the junction of Delph Road and Dibb Lane in Little Crosby. Two fire engines arrived at the scene just five minutes later and found a black Mercedes on Fire at the junction.
Firefighters got to work putting out the flames while Merseyside Police temporarily closed the road. One eyewitness said he could see smoke and smell burning for a while before finding the car and taking pictures.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus put the flames out with a hose and left the scene at 4.19pm. Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service confirmed there were no reports of injuries following the incident.
A spokesperson from the fire service said: "Crews were called to a car fire this afternoon at the junction of Dibb Lane and Delph Road in Little Crosby. Crews were alerted at 3.08pm and on scene at 3.15pm, with two fire engines in attendance. Crews arrived to find a car well alight in the roadway and a firefighter wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire with a hose reel jet.
"There were no reports of any injuries. Merseyside Police were present assisting with traffic management- the road has now reopened and fire crews left the scene at 4.19pm."
