Road taped off as collapsed drain leads to hole in road

An investigation is being carried out after a collapsed drain led to a deep hole in a Liverpool road.

Liverpool City Council was informed of the problem today and staff members have been out to assess the situation this morning. They have taped off the area to make it temporarily safe.

The council said an investigation will now take place to find out the root of the issue and plan out works to repair it.
