Road in Lanarkshire village closing for five days of carriageway resurfacing work

Carriageway resurfacing works mean Glenboig’s Mollinsburn Road will be closed for five days next week.

This will apply from February 1-5, from Gain Road to Glenboig New Road, with the former road and Yetts Hole Road operating as diversions for motorists.

And Caldercruix’s Craigsmill Wynd will close from 9.30am to 6pm on February 2, between Fernbrae Path and Crossrigg Court, for manhole works by Scottish Water.

Motorists are advised there will be no diverted routes on offer throughout the closure, but “access will be maintained for residents”.

Finally, the B799 Lancaster Avenue in Chapelhall will shut for ironwork repairs later this month.

The closure, between Lammermuir Way and the A73 Bellside Road, will run from 9.30am to 6pm on February 13.

Alternative routes for drivers will be the A73 Main Street, Lauchope Street, Woodhall Street and Bo’ness Road.
