A number of roadworks are set to take place are set to take place on Gedling borough’s roads in the new year. The temporary changes in Burton Joyce include road closures and signals due to gas mains replacement works in the area.
Temporary two and three way signals will be in place on A612 Church Road, from its junction with Shaftesbury Avenue to its junction with Lambley Lane/St Helens Crescent. This will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm daily.
A road closure for a distance of 35 metres will also be in place on Shaftesbury Avenue (West Side), from its junction A612 Church Road/A612 Nottingham Road. A section on Lambley Lane will also be shut from its junction with A612 Church Road to its junction with Lendrum Court.

These temporary road restrictions will be enforced from Monday, January 9 until Monday 24 next year. The works will be carried out Network Plus on behalf of Cadent Gas.
Drivers using Shaftesbury Avenue can divert via A612 Nottingham Road - Old Main Road and vice versa. Road users on Lambley Lane have the option to divert via A612 Church Road – Chestnut Grove – Main Street and vice versa.
