A road was closed in both directions after a Volkswagen Golf collided with a moped.
Merseyside Police received reports of a collision on Linacre Road in Litherland at around 12.30pm on Friday, April 14. The driver of the car stopped at the scene and the moped rider was taken to hospital after sustaining a shoulder injury.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We can confirm we received a report at around 12.30pm today, Friday 14 April, of a road traffic collision involving a moped rider and a grey Volkswagen Golf on Linacre Road, Litherland.
"The moped rider sustained a minor shoulder injury and has been taken to hospital. The driver of the car has stopped at the scene and is helping with enquiries. Officers were at the scene while the road was closed and it has now reopened.
