Emergency services attended after a tree fell onto a road.
Merseyside Police and Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service were in attendance on Wellington Road, Wavertree on Saturday (June 11) afternoon. A tree had fallen across the pavement and road near the entrance to Wavertree Sports Park.
No injuries were reported but fire crews worked to saw the tree into smaller parts before leaving the scene. The remainder will be removed from the roadway by Liverpool City Council.

A Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson told the ECHO : "Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service attended an incident involving a fallen tree across a public pathway and road in Wavertree, Liverpool this afternoon.
"No vehicles at scene or casualties reported. Crews used a recip saw to cut the tree into smaller parts. Liverpool City Council have been made aware in order to remove the bulk of the tree from the roadway.
"Crews then liaised with Merseyside Police to put road closures in place. We left the scene at 17.31."
