A road has been closed in both directions after a crash in Cheshire.
Police, paramedics and Cheshire fire and rescue service are all in attendance after a crash involving one vehicle on the A559 Northwich Road, near Antrobus. A spokesperson for the fire and rescue service reported the driver of the vehicle was 'medically trapped.'
Two fire engines were sent to the scene at around 8.43am this morning, on Thursday, April 7. Crews are believed to have stabilised the vehicle and are looking after the person involved.

An update from Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service reads: "Two fire engines attended a road traffic collision on the A559 in Antrobus. The incident involves one vehicle with the occupant medically trapped inside. Firefighters have stabilised the vehicle and are administering care to the casualty.
"One fire engine has now been released from the scene. Cheshire Police are also in attendance. The A559 is closed by the Birch and Bottle Inn while emergency services deal with the incident."
It is unclear when the road will reopen, however police have reportedly told drivers to avoid the area while emergency services remain at the scene. Travel monitoring Inrix reports that there is queueing traffic in the area due to the crash, causing delays between Lostock Gralam and Stretton.
