Road closed as firefighters tackle blaze in Scottish town

FIREFIGHTERS have been called to a blaze at a derelict property in Fife.

Emergency services were called to a report of a fire at a derelict building in the Toll Road area in Kincardine at around 6.52pm on Friday.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said a height appliance from Falkirk was drafted in to help other crews from Alloa and Tillicoultry.

Two hose reel jets were being used as firefighters attempt to extinguish the blaze, The Courier has reported.

Road closures are also in place as emergency services remain at the scene of the fire.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We received a call of a fire at a derelict building at 6.52pm.

“A height appliance from Falkirk is at the scene alongside crews from Alloa and Tillicoultry.”
