Road closed after man falls from bike

A road is closed in both directions after a man fell from his bike.

Merseyside Police received a call at 1.39pm on Tuesday, November 22, following reports of a man lying in the road on Holmefield Road in Aigburth. Once officers arrived at the scene they found a man had fallen from his bike after the chain snapped.

Police closed the road while emergency services attended the scene. One police patrol car and ambulance were at the scene and the man could be seen lying on the pavement with a number of jackets over him.
