Road closed after crash involving two buses

A road in Tameside was closed following a smash between two buses. Emergency services were called to Lord Sheldon Way at around 6pm on Wednesday (June 1).

Pictures appeared to show a Little Gem single decker bus and a double-decker, operated by Stagecoach. The road was closed on the westbound side, which led to congestion

Transport for Greater Manchester said the road was closed between Richmond Street and Ashton Moss Retail Park Roundabout following the incident. Drivers were urged to find an alternate route to avoid the queues as Stagecoach also announced that the 7, 7A and 7B services would be diverted.
