Rescuers from Fife raced to the East Lothian coast after receiving reports of a possible 'upturned' vessel.
The call came in hours after the volunteers of Kinghorn RNLI Lifeboat were out at Burntisland undergoing valuable training.
At around 9.05pm on Tuesday, June 27, the crew got a call from a concerned local who reported an 'upturned' vessel. The RNLI team from Fife raced to the scene as Fisherrow Coastguard and North Berwick Coastguard Rescue Team also supported.

Once they arrived and carried out a search, the team located a small boat and confirmed it had not been in any difficulty.
Later on in the night, the crew searched the mouth of the River Esk after a swimmer was spotted, and Kinghorn RNLI confirmed that the swimmer was not in any difficulty and was left to enjoy their swim.
Taking to social media RNLI Kinghorn Lifeboat wrote: "Our team was out training on Tuesday 27th June at Burntisland with local company Calypso Marine and their vessel Pathfinder. This valuable opportunity enabled our volunteer crew to practice towing and ropework with a vessel rather than simulating with a pontoon that doesn't move!
"At 9.15pm, the crew was tasked to a report of an upturned vessel at Musselburgh. We were soon on scene and carried out a search, locating a small boat, which it turned out had not been in any difficulty. Fisherrow Coastguard and North Berwick Coastguard Rescue Team also supported.
"Thereafter, a short search of the mouth of the River Esk was undertaken after a swimmer was spotted. The swimmer confirmed they were not in any difficulty, and they were left to continue their swim."
