Saudi Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal bin Fadhil Alibrahim has met with Dimitri Kerkentzes, the Secretary General of the Bureau International Des Expositions (BIE), in Paris, the Saudi Press Agency reported Thursday.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the Saudi bid to host the Expo 2030 world fair in Riyadh, SPA said.
The host country for the 2030 Expo is expected to be selected in November.
The Saudi minister also met with the French Minister of Economy, Finance, Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, Bruno Le Maire.
The two sides discussed strengthening economic relations between the two countries and issues of common interest, SPA said.
The meeting was part of Alibrahim's visit to France to attend the ministerial-level meeting of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris.
