One of the biggest free festivals in Nottingham returns to the Victoria Embankment this weekend. The Riverside Festival will take place from Friday, August 5 to Sunday, August 7 with bands, street food and fireworks.
Huge numbers of visitors are expected into the city with over 25,000 recorded in previous years. Nottingham City Council has confirmed there will be no road closures but that residents should be aware that there could be disruption.
As well as some delays or disruptions, there will be parking restrictions in the Meadows to help facilitate the festival and protect the parking for locals living near the site. There are a number of ways to get to and from the event with alternative parking options in place.
