A woman has been rescued from the River Lagan after getting into trouble while kayaking.
On Thursday morning, rescue teams were called to a section of the river at Shaw's Bridge following reports that a kayaker had got into difficulties. She had become pinned against one of the arches of the bridge.
A Rescue 3 Swiftwater & Flood Rescue Technician had been close to the scene at the time of the incident and was able to help the woman until emergency services arrived and she was brought to safety.

K9 Search and Rescue NI said: "This this morning one of our Rescue 3 Swiftwater & Flood Rescue Technicians was in the right place at the right time.
"A kayaker got into difficulties at Shaws Bridge and became pinned against one of the arches.
"Our Swiftwater Rescue Technician, wearing his personal protection equipment was able to throw the casualty a line and reassure her until assistance arrived from the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service, Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and Police Service of Northern Ireland.
"The Fire Service Specialist Rescue Team successfully rescued the person to safety."
