Shoppers are loving a pair of £59 River Island heels, which are said to be a dupe of a designer brand.
The shoes were shared to Instagram this week by galslovehighstreet, an account that shares ‘the best women's high street fashion and beauty’. The account has a following of nearly 200k.
The post compared River Island’s Gold 3D Flower Strappy Heeled Sandals, which cost £59, to Aquazzura’s Papillon Sandal 105, which come in at £715. The shoes were labelled a ‘dupe’ by the Instagram account.

Alongside the post, the caption read: “Amazing dupe & selling out fast.” The post racked up hundreds of likes and many comments from shoppers keen to get hold of the shoes.
Beneath the post, one person said: “Actually love them with a simple outfit” and a second wrote: “Love these”. A third added: “Soooo cute!!!”
The shoes feature similar designs, including 3D butterflies along the straps and around the ankle ties. The River Island shoes come in silver and rose gold, and silver, blue and purple, while the designer brand offers a range of different colours.
However, while the Aquazzura shoes have a more rounded toe, the River Island heels have a square toe. The detailing on the designer shoes’ butterflies is much more in depth.
River Island’s Gold 3D Flower Strappy Heeled Sandals cost £59 while Aquazzura’s Papillon Sandal 105 come in at £715. This means shoppers could save around £656 by opting for the dupe.
