River Island is selling a beautiful cross-body handbag that luxury fashion fans might find familiar.
The high street retailer has launched a range of new clothes and accessories for the spring/summer season - and one in particular may catch the attention of eagle-eye fashion fans. The River Island white patent heart cross body bag comes in at £35, complete with a faux leather patent finish, quilted design, with gold handles and RI branded hardware.
Shoppers who know their high-end designers might notice the resemblance to the Vivienne Westwood Louise heart crossbody bag, which comes with a hefty £310 price tag by comparison.

The Louise crossbody bag from Vivienne Westwood is made from grained white leather and is structured into a heart shape. The design has a detachable shoulder strap and a metallic logo embellishment.
While the Vivienne Westwood version has a double compartment, River Island’s has only one, but both offer a zip fastening for security, and a detachable strap so that it can be worn as a cross-body or drop bag.
The other main difference between the two is that the luxury £300 back has a grained leather finish, while the £35 dupe is quilted and patent - but their similarity is still undeniable, and ideal for those who want to get the look for less.
On the River Island Instagram page, the bag has been styled with a white caped dress, which definitely gives off some bridal vibes, meaning this £35 purse could be perfect for 2023 brides-to-be for their big day, hen parties or engagement celebrations.
Chanel is another designer brand known to have created a white, quilted heart bag in the past, too, with Louis Vuitton having created a similar design in their multicolour monogram.
But for those looking for something a little more affordable without a three or four figure price tag, this River Island dupe is a great alternative.
