Fashion fans, get ready to be excited, as River Island is selling a handbag that looks almost identical to one sold from a luxury brand - but £275 cheaper.
The high street retailer has launched its latest spring/summer collection in-stores and online - and with stylish clothing to accessories, shoppers are spoiled for choice.
Included in the collection is the White Patent Heart Cross Body Bag, which looks like the perfect outfit accessory. Not just a chic addition to your wardrobe, but it is also very similar to one sold by Vivienne Westwood.
The retailer's affordable bag looks almost identical to the luxury brand's Louise Heart Cross Body Bag, which would set you back a whopping £310, reports the Liverpool Echo.
River Island's bag comes in at just £35 and it features a faux leather patent finish, quilted design, with gold handles and RI branded hardware. Meanwhile, Vivienne Westwood's designer bag made from grained white leather and is structured into a heart shape. The design has a detachable shoulder strap and a metallic logo embellishment.
Both white bags feature the same heart-shaped structure, metallic logo embellishment and detachable shoulder strap to turn it into a cross body bag.
Price tag aside, there are only a couple of other minor differences between the designer bag and its retailer 'dupe'. For one, Vivienne Westwood's bag comes with a double compartment, while the River Island 'dupe' only comes with one.
The £310 version has a grained leather version, while the retailer's bag comes complete with a quilted design. That being said, the resemblance is still uncanny, and for £275 cheaper, you can't complain.
On the River Island Instagram page, the bag has been styled with a white caped dress, which definitely gives off some bridal vibes, meaning this £35 purse could be perfect for 2023 brides-to-be for their big day, hen parties or engagement celebrations.
This is not the first time that River Island has stocked a designer 'dupe, as it previously sold a pair £20 heeled mules that were similar to an £860 pair from Bottega Veneta.
The designer shoe 'dupe' was so popular that it quickly sold out on the retailer's website when they were slashed down in the sale.
