Rival UM looking to flip, offers MSU 3-star commit Syair Torrence

The rivals down the road in Ann Arbor are apparently looking to flip a Spartans commit in the 2024 class.

Three-star wide receiver/cornerback Syair Torrence has received a scholarship offer from Michigan. Torrence has been committed to Michigan State since late June.

Torrence hails from Syracuse, N.Y. and is listed as the No. 688 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2024 class. He’s also ranked as the No. 4 player from New York.

Michigan and Michigan State will often battle for prospects so this is no different. But it is intriguing to see Torrence get an offer after already committing to Michigan State. This will be something to monitor moving forward.
