Rita Ora has revealed that she turned to therapy after “losing part of herself’ during her younger party years and rise to the top.
The singer, 32, makes the confession in candid lyrics on her upcoming album, You and I, which is due for release on July 14.
This will mark the Hot Right Now songstress’ third album and is her most honest yet according to The Sun, who managed to get hold of a copy early.
While Ora is now happily married to filmaker Taika Waititi, 47, the record sees her sing about her lost loves, having previously dated Calvin Harris and Kim Kardashian’s younger brother Robert.
The publication writes that on album track Look At Me Now she refers to herself as being “burnt” and having been “to hell”.
On track Girl In The Mirror, Ora sings: “I’m sorry, I love you, it’s just that she knows what I’m feeling. Gone through therapy just to get this level of healing.”
The Kosovo-born star who was raised in the UK, also seemingly references her spats with former record boss Jay-Z as well as ex-boyfriend Harris, with whom she reportedly battled to keep control of her music.
“Now I wonder why I lost a part of me, trying so hard to please, I just heard my echo, now I’m trying to let go,” she sings.
