Rita Ora has finally confirmed she married Taika Waititi in secret.
The popstar tied the knot with the Hollywood actor and filmmaker in an intimate ceremony - but decided to keep their nuptials secret until her new wedding-themed music video was released.
"I am officially off the market people. I chose to keep it more private and keep it to myself more but with my new video I am playing on what could have been," she said on Heart Breakfast this morning.
"When the rumours came out is she, isn't she? I wanted to play on it. I wanted to do a wedding that didn't go to plan… that's not to say that is actually what happened."
Revealing more about her special day, Rita said: "It was perfect. It was exactly, exactly how I wanted.
"It was nice and perfect. It is nice to keep some things just to myself sometimes it was nice and sweet… Sorry it's not that interesting. One day I will throw a big party."
Despite being a newly married woman, Rita said she's not sure whether she will take her husband's name.
"I have definitely thought about taking his surname but I have worked very hard for this Ora name," she said. "I don't know… I haven't really decided yet."
Speaking about her decision to finally reveal her happy news, she said: "I knew putting music out that was inspired by where I am at [in my life] - I knew the questions were going to come.
"I just thought I may as well put it in my music so this is the first time where the music does all the talking. It explains my love story which is on the album."
The singer and the filmmaker are understood to have been in a relationship since 2020, with rumours of them getting engaged starting to circulate last year.
New-Zealand born Taika, who has two kids from a previous relationship and whose credits include Thor: Ragnarok and Jojo Rabbit was spotted wearing a wedding band in a photo in September.
Rita recently spoke about getting married in an interview with Louis Theroux.
Staying tight-lipped about whether she'd actually tied the knot, she teased: “Getting engaged has definitely been a conversation. I’m happy," she gushed, before adding: “Getting married is something I’ve dreamed of since I was a kid, and he definitely is a great human. He’s awesome."
