RISHI Sunak did not use a song by notorious pop star paedophile Gary Glitter in a swanky video released on official government channels, Downing Street has insisted.
A video recapping Sunak’s first few days at No 10 has been published on social media, featuring a soundtrack which bears a striking similarity to disgraced Glitter’s 1972 hit Rock & Roll Part 2.
The new Prime Minister developed a reputation for an overly-slick style during his first unsuccessful Tory leadership bid, as well as for having the Treasury Twitter accounts push polished graphics praising his Eat Out To Help Out campaign during his time as chancellor.

A spokesperson for the PM said the song used for the video is “certainly not by Gary Glitter”, reports the Byline Times.
Glitter – real name Paul Gadd – was imprisoned for four months in 1999 for downloading child pornography and was later caged for child sex crimes in Vietnam and for similar crimes in the UK years later.
He currently resides at the low-security HMP The Verne, in Dorset and could be released next year.
Rock & Roll Part 2 featured in the soundtrack for the Joaquin Phoenix-starring Joker, released in 2019.

Sunak’s polished new video shows him taking office and includes excepts from his first Prime Minister’s Questions as well as parts from his speech on the steps of Downing Street after being crowned Tory leader.
It also shows him taking a call with US President Joe Biden, as well as meeting with ministers and hugging his Chancellor Jeremy Hunt.
Sunak is reportedly considering a return to post-financial crash levels of austerity with a package of tax hikes and spending cuts worth up to £50 billion.
