Rio Ferdinand said he wants to see more from struggling Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho.
Sancho, 22, has been a regular in the starting XI under Erik ten Hag this campaign but that is largely by virtue of United lacking depth in the forward positions.
Sancho has only provided five direct goal contributions in 14 appearances. That is a someway short of the eye-catching numbers he totted up over four hugely successful years with former club Borussia Dortmund.

During his spell in the Bundesliga, the 23-cap England international netted 50 times and added 64 assists from 137 games in all competitions. Sancho has shown glimpses of his fleet-footed skills at Old Trafford, but Ferdinand has urged the £72.9m man to rekindle his natural instincts moving forward.
Speaking on the latest episode of his FIVE podcast, Ferdinand said: "His confidence just isn't there. The confidence and the swagger from when he walked through the doors at Old Trafford isn't there right now. I don't know what it is. I'm trying to put my finger on it, because the team is getting him into good positions.
"The ball gets to him and the Sancho I know and have seen, [if you] get him on the corner of the box then you're in dreamland. But then he's just coming back out and playing back and recycling the ball. This isn't you, man! I don't know what it is, and Antony has been the same in some of the games."
Ferdinand added: "I feel that it's in there and what I will give him [Sancho] credit for is his defensive work. His shape has been good, but it's the other side of the game that's missing, that's why we bought him. We didn't buy him to be a defender, we bought him to destroy teams. I want to see more from him and Antony."
