Former Leeds United defender Rio Ferdinand believes his former club will have enough to avoid relegation despite being in the midst of a winless run. The Whites have not won since the 3-0 win over Chelsea back in August but have turned in a number of decent performances.
Leeds were in parts the better side against the Gunners and were unfortunate to not come away with anything from the game. Mikel Arteta's side made it nine wins from ten games to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League.
Speaking on the FIVE podcast, Ferdinand said: "I'll give you [Arsenal] praise, you win a game you maybe shouldn't. Leeds I thought, if they continue the way they are then they'll be alright.

"They showed a lot of good signs but you need an element of luck and you need your keeper to play well in those situations as well. At the same time if I'm an Arsenal player in that dressing room, I had many times where you win a game and you think you're lucky to get away with that, it's another tick in the box and it's a game Arsenal would have lost two or three nil in years gone by.
"I'm sure the debrief on Monday will have been 'Guys we didn't play well, there's a few things we need to iron out and I ain't happy about this, but the best thing about that is we would have lost that before and we didn't.'
"They're making moves in the right direction and I think that's where Arsenal football club are moving in the right direction."
