Rio Ferdinand says Cristiano Ronaldo has not given a second thought about his next club following a controversial pre-World Cup departure from Old Trafford.
Speculation over the former Manchester United striker and his immediate future remains at fever pitch while he is away with Portugal chasing World Cup glory. United parted ways with Ronaldo, 37, in the aftermath of his explosive interview with Piers Morgan which drew widespread attention on the eve of the ongoing Qatar showcase.
During that TalkTV bombshell, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner openly criticised his now former club, as well as Erik ten Hag and several key figures associated with United past and present. As a result, Ronaldo is available for nothing heading into the January transfer window after leaving them for a second time.

Ferdinand was asked about Ronaldo and his potential next adventure in the BBC Sport studio. He said: "He is super focused now and there is no debating [about his United future].
"In terms of speaking to him on the phone, he is very short and sharp and business-like. You can sense that there's a difference in his focus from outside the tournament.
"Ronaldo is a fabulous player and his passion for his country is phenomenal. He might have been one they could've rested [vs South Korea], at 37, but I'm sure he was in that changing room telling the manager to play him and not to rest him."
Ferdinand continued: "I've tried to weasel it out of him [where Ronaldo will go next], but he won't tell me. He's said he's only thinking about the World Cup and he will think about the transfer after that."
