Rio Ferdinand says Nottingham Forest deserve "huge credit" after their 1-0 win against Liverpool at the City Ground.
Taiwo Awoniyi's strike before the hour mark proved crucial as the Reds returned to winning ways for the first time since August. Having ended a nine-match winless run, the result sees Steve Cooper's side lift themselves from bottom of the table.
Liverpool, on the other hand, were unable to provide a response as their two-match unbeaten run came to an end.

Speaking post-match, Ferdinand believes Cooper's change of tactics, allowed his side to be clinical when it mattered which paid off in the end. "You look for a result to change the fortunes, they changed tactics and we asked for the ability to be a threat, they had the opportunity, clinical and they hung on," he told BT Sport.
"Cooper and his side have to take huge credit, they’ll be so pleased with that. Liverpool may have had injuries but it’s still a huge game in the calendar and they’ve got a fabulous result.
"To win a game against one of the best and biggest team in the league, you need three or four man of the matches and Forest had loads you could pick from."
