Former Leeds United defender Rio Ferdinand has praised Jesse Marsch for 'lighting up' the game against Chelsea before it had even started with his pre-match comments.
In his pre-match press-conference, Marsch said he was 'disappointed' that Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel would be allowed on the Elland Road touchline for the game, despite being sent off in the Blues' match against Tottenham Hotspur the week before.
Tuchel was given a one-match ban for clashing with Spurs boss Antonio Conte, but the ban was suspended, and therefore Tuchel was in the dugout for the game, which Leeds won 3-0.
"This new manager at Leeds and the way he's got them going," Ferdinand said on FIVE.

"Did you see his press-conference the day before, by the way? Saying that he thinks Tuchel should be banned and he shouldn't be there, so he lit the match up before the game had even come."
Ferdinand was also full of praise for the atmosphere at Elland Road as Leeds maintained their unbeaten start to the season, and he believes that the Whites won't drop many points from winning positions at home this term.
"That place when it's bouncing - it's a hard place to play. I played there as a home player and an away player and it was always like 'woah'.
"Going in as an away player, if you're not on it and they go a goal up then it's a hard place to turn things around. I know a lot of people expecting Leeds to go down this season after last season, but they're doing all right."
