Liverpool are through to the next round of the Champions League but not without a scare, as they lost 1-0 to Inter Milan at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp 's side went into the second leg with a healthy 2-0 lead, but failed to carve an opening as Lautaro Martinez scored the only goal of the game.
Within minutes of Martinez' potential goal of the season contender, former Arsenal and Manchester United star Alexis Sanchez was sent off, giving Liverpool some much needed respite.
Although Martinez' wonder-strike came out of nothing, Rio Ferdinand has pointed the finger at Virgil can Dijk for allowing it to happen.

After dominating much of the first leg against Liverpool, Inter also controlled large parts of the game at Anfield, and due to wasted chances by the home side, the Serie A champions stayed in the tie.
Liverpool struck the woodwork on three occasions, with Mohamed Salah uncharacteristically missing two glorious chances, but Ferdinand has blamed van Dijk for allowing Martinez to score in the manner that he did.
Martinez stunned Anfield as his swerving effort from outside the box found the top-right corner, and Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson was a complete bystander, but Ferdinand was not happy with van Dijk's positioning.
"Maybe the only piece of criticism I can give is to Van Dijk," Ferdinand said on BT Sport. "Could he have got out a bit quicker and closed Martinez down?"
"That’s the only thing for me, but the strike is magnificent. Beautiful goal. Listen, it’s splitting hairs there but that’s the only thing I’d look at."
Van Dijk frustrated Martinez all night, and for large periods of Tuesday evening the Inter forward attempted to use his pace to beat the Dutchman, although he underestimated the speed of Liverpool's record -signing.
This may explain why van Dijk opted not to close Martinez down though, as the Argentinian striker became one of the few players to outsmart the Liverpool defender with a moment of individual brilliance.
On a different day, Inter may have taken Liverpool to extra-time, or even overturned the tie in 90 minutes, but just moments after Martinez fired them ahead, Sanchez was sent off.
Martinez was upset with the Chilean after the game, as Inter made changes following the red card and Liverpool grew in confidence when Inter were originally on the front foot.
"We did what we wanted to, we showed character, the desire to go through and when we took the lead in a difficult arena with so much enthusiasm," Martinez told Sky Italia.
"It’s a pity to then go down to 10 men, because these are the things that can make the difference. We have to turn the page straight away and try to look forward.
"We are out of the Champions League, we have the Coppa Italia, we have Serie A and must try to do our best, learn from these mistakes and try to keep improving."
