Rio Ferdinand suggested Erik ten Hag's substitutions led to Manchester United "relinquishing control" in the second half of their draw with Tottenham on Thursday night.
The Reds took the lead at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium through Jadon Sancho in the seventh minute. The Reds winger - who started in place of Anthony Martial - stroked his effort past Fraser Forster to give the away side the advantage.
United made it 2-0 just before the half-time break, with Marcus Rashford grabbing his 28th goal in all competitions with a smart finish from inside the penalty area. However, when Spurs pulled a goal back through Pedro Porro in the 56th minute, Ten Hag opted to make a number of substitutions in the 15 minutes that followed.

The Dutchman brought Martial, Fred, Tyrell Malacia and Wout Weghorst on before the 72nd minute. Despite the fresh legs, it was the home side who got the next goal, with Harry Kane putting the ball on a plate for Heung-min Son to make it 2-2.
Former Reds defender Ferdinand suggested United's substitutions allowed Tottenham to gain control in the match, claiming they were given a chance by United.
"I think Man United will be quite disappointed, they’ll all be trudging into that changing room and thinking ‘wow, how have we let that slip?’" he said on BT Sport. "The first half, totally dominated this Spurs team struggling for confidence, then you’ve allowed them to come out and get a foothold back into the game - they’ll be hugely disappointed.
"I think the substitutes for Manchester United relinquished control of the game with the personnel that came on, but you also have to give credit to this Spurs team who are on their knees at the moment and have found a way to get back into this game.
"They’ve been given a chance, you have to take that chance and they’ve done that really well today."
