Ringo Starr has been forced to cancel the remaining dates of his US tour due to illness.
The former Beatles drummer, 84, missed his concert in Philadelphia on Tuesday and went on to pull out of his Radio City Music Hall gig in New York City on Wednesday.
A statement posted to his social media account read: “Ringo has come down with a cold and after consulting a doctor he was advised to cancel these two remaining shows and get rest. As always, Ringo and the All Starrs send peace and love to their fans and hope to see them soon."
Refunds are being given to fans who had tickets for the two cancelled dates.
The musician and his All Starr Band kicked off the run on September 7 and played 10 shows in the States, with Starr last onstage on September 22 in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
He released EP Crooked Boy in April featuring the Strokes' guitarist Nick Valensi.
In July Starr took to social media to celebrate his 84th birthday with fans.
To mark the occasion, he asked people to participate in his global Peace and Love event, inviting fans to say or post the words “peace and love.”
He started the celebration in 2008, which has since spread globally.
He said: “I think a lot of it is a throwback from the 60s, I was in that band and then a lot of it's still from the 60s onwards, but people love it."
"People enjoy the peace and love moments, that's what it's about and that's all I do, peace and love."
