Riley Keough has paid tribute to her late mother Lisa Marie Presley and brother Benjamin as she earned her first Emmy nomination for her turn in Daisy Jones & the Six.
The granddaughter of Elvis Presley took to Instagram to share a black-and-white photo of the pair from yesteryear following her award announcement on the third anniversary of her sibling’s passing.
The 34-year-old wrote alongside the post on her Instagram story on Wednesday: “Missing you both.”
Keough’s younger brother tragically died, age 27, in 2020 by suicide while the same day also marked the six-month anniversary of her mother’s death aged 54 earlier this year.
The singer suffered a cardiac arrest at her Calabasas home on January 12.
Keough’s grandmother Priscilla Presley also marked the sombre occasion by sharing a rose emoji to her own Instagram and captioned it: “Needless to say, this has been a very solemn day for me – the anniversary of the passing of my sweet grandson Ben.
“Words cannot express how much you are missed – Nona.”
It was a bittersweet day for The Devil All The Time actress who also received her first Primetime Emmy Award nomination for lead actress in a limited/anthology series/movie as the titular character in Daisy Jones & the Six.
The Amazon Prime series, adapted from Taylor Jenkins Reid’s hit 2019 novel of the same name, chronicles the rise and fall of a fictional 1970s rock band.
After learning of her nomination, Keough told E! News: “I’m surprised, I’m feeling really grateful and just blessed and honored.”
The actress faces stiff competition in the category against Beef’s Ali Wong, Swarm’s Dominque Fishback, George & Tammy’s Jessica Chastain, Tiny Beautiful Things’ Kathryn Hahn, and Fleishman is in Trouble’ s Lizzy Caplan.
The 75th Primetime Emmy Awards is scheduled to air September 18, should WGA/SAG strikes have ended.
