Rihanna 'tipped for Glastonbury 2025 as she plans major London residency'

Rihanna is reportedly tipped to headline Glastonbury this year amid her apparent plans for a run of concerts in London.

The Umbrella singer, 37, has yet to perform at the famous music festival in Worthy Farm, Somerset, despite years of speculation.

Now, music insiders are claiming she is very likely to headline the festival in June because she is said to be planning a major London residency just days later.

The pop superstar is lining up six concerts at London Stadium, formerly the Olympic Stadium, according to The Telegraph.

She will reportedly perform two shows on July 4 and 5, with other possible concerts taking place on July 8, 9, 11, and 12, a source claimed.

A second source claimed Rihanna’s promoters are “holding” London Stadium for her, with preparations being made.

The concerts would be the singer’s first in almost a decade and would begin just days after Glastonbury is set to end on June 29.

The Standard has contacted representatives for Rihanna and Glastonbury for comment.

Rihanna’s global fan base has been begging the Barbadian singer to drop new music for 10 years now, while she has been keeping busy with her Fenty underwear and makeup lines.

She has also been spending the last decade on family life with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, and their two sons - RZA, two, and Riot, 18 months.

The Pour It Up singer hasn’t toured since her Anti world tour in 2016, which included a stop at London’s Wembley Stadium.

The full Glastonbury 2025 line-up has not yet been revealed, although Neil Young was confirmed last month as the headline act for the Pyramid Stage.

The Canadian singer, 79, initially turned down the offer to perform, claiming the festival was “under corporate control” of the BBC in a lengthy New Year’s Day statement.

However, he did an abrupt U-turn just days later and announced that he will perform, claiming there had been “an error in the information I received”.

Rod Stewart will also take the Sunday Legends slot on the Pyramid Stage.

Stars like Olivia Rodrigo, Fred Again and The 1975 have all been rumoured to appear.
