Becoming a mother has been “crazy, amazing, wild and weird” for R&B legend Rihanna, and she likes the new bum it has given her, too.
The 34-year-old singer had her first child, a son, with boyfriend A$AP Rocky in May.
She says: “The best feeling, the best.
“The most love I’ve ever known. I can’t describe it. It’s new. It’s fascinating.
“Every step, every facial expression, every new milestone. I love it.”
Her favourite thing so far has been seeing her son, whose name she has not yet revealed, smiling. She says: “He is the happiest baby.
“No matter what you’re doing or what you’re feeling, when he smiles at you everything else just goes away. It’s the best.
“He is funny, he’s happy and he’s fat.”
Rihanna says becoming a parent inspired her to sign up to perform at the Super Bowl in January as she needed a “challenge” to push her to get back on stage.
But motherhood has already given her some new qualities.
Speaking at her Savage x Fenty fashion show launch, she says: “I’m patient now.
“You are forced to be patient as a mum, as a parent, just in general.”
Pregnancy also had its perks. Asked what the favourite part of her body is now, Rihanna boasts of her new mum bum, saying: “My booty. Now it’s my booty ’cause I got one.”
'What about when you are the parent?'
It’s a good job Denise Welch knew to expect something a little odd when she popped along to her son Matty Healy’s gig with his
band, The 1975.
So she wasn’t too surprised that he kicked off the New York date of their tour by taking off his top and chomping on a raw beef rib, before climbing through a telly on stage.
Fans had shared videos of Matty “sensually” smoking a cigarette while rubbing his crotch during previous shows, with one remarking the concert makes for an awkward experience for youngsters with their parents.
“What about when you ARE the parent?” laughed Denise.
At least she didn’t have to make him any tea.
Denise's unusual dating style
Denise van Outen has been dating back to front.
The presenter wooed Jimmy Barba with dates in her kitchen wearing comfy clothes before the pair started getting dressed up and going out – which is pretty much the opposite of most new relationships.
“We wanted to get to know each other outside of the public eye,” she told Steph’s Packed Lunch.
“So when we went on our very first date it was like we’d been let loose, we went crazy. To be honest, I was oblivious to anybody else in the restaurant because I was too busy snogging him.”
Fellow diners probably wished the pair had stayed in their kitchen.
