Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have reportedly named their baby boy after Wu-Tang Clan rapper RZA.
The Fenty beauty mogul gave birth to their bundle of joy last May and have kept him largely out of the spotlight as they prepare to welcome their second child together.
However, the birth certificate for the couple’s son has now been obtained by MailOnline, revealing his name RZA Athelston Mayers.
Assuming they are using the same pronunciation as the famous rap leader, their son’s name is pronounced “Rizza”.
The pair also decided to give their son the same middle name as 34-year-old Rocky, whose legal birth name is Rakim Athelston Mayers.
Earlier this year, the Work hitmaker, 35, detailed how she’s fiercely protected her baby boy from the spotlight.
She told British Vogue: “I just went straight into protective mode. Like there wasn’t even time for rage. As parents it just feels so icky, like a violation.”
In the same interview, she recalled how she and Rocky came to together to handle photos of their newborn son being leaked to the press without their permission.
The Diamonds singer recalled: “As we were speaking, we knew they were making calls and deals.
“It’s the thing you never want to happen. We get to decide as parents when and how we do that. End of story.”
In a bid to beat the press, the couple decided to send some candid photos from her camera roll to an unnamed blog and joined TikTok, where she posted a now-viral video of her baby boy smiling and playing with her phone.
Rihanna revealed her second pregnancy with A$AP Rocky during her highly-anticipated Super Bowl Halftime show in February.
The Barbadian singer kicked off her live performance, her first in seven years, suspended high above the stadium on a floating stage.
Dressed in red, the star made a knowing look to the camera and then opened her jacket and stroked her baby bump.
