The Fashion Awards, which takes over the Royal Albert Hall at the start of each December and often branded London’s answer to the Met Gala, has a bad reputation for terrible conditions. Recent years have seen models shiver in spaghetti strap tops and it hurls sideways rain in almost freezing conditions.
Hurrah, then, for last nights balmy night in comparison, and the global great and good congregated to celebrate the British fashion industry, work of the British Fashion Council, and global A-listers from Tom Ford, who was presented with the Outstanding Achievement Award by Anna Wintour, to Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, who took home the Cultural Innovator award.
Surprise highlights counted a Debbie Harry performance, presenters including Maya Jama, Joe Jonas and Michèle Lamy, meanwhile the winners went as follows:
