Rihanna: megastar, beauty entrepreneur, mom, and fashion icon just graced the cover of Vogue China in an elevated Western-inspired outfit, effectively pouring rocket fuel onto spring's trend of the moment. In her latest sartorial slay, RiRi upped the cowboy core ante by wearing custom looks by Pharrell for Louis Vuitton and pieces by burgeoning Chinese designer brand CPlus Series. Appearing on the cover in a floral embroidered bralette, complete with a matching jacket and cowboy hat, Rihanna — in China to celebrate Fenty Beauty hitting the market— finished her look with lacquered red lips, clawed nails, and long touseled hair.
And then came the announcement that RiRi has launched Savage x Fenty Signature Script, a sexy collection of bras, slips, lingerie, and sleep shorts. Fronting the campaign is none other than the megastar herself, who is seen in a series of sultry shots in bed (even the sheets are Savage x Fenty).
In another viral image from the shoot, the singer was photographed in a white gown with boxed braids. She spoke candidly about the culture of hair braiding, explaining, "This is a form of protection of our roots and a tradition left by our ancestors." In another memorable image, Rihanna was photographed fully leaning into power dressing, wearing a post-it embellished suit by the conscious fashion collective Avavav.
One thing is for sure style-wise you are never quite sure what to expect from Rihanna. The singer can make a mega statement one minute and opt for a more demure, subdued look the next. Like at a recent charity event in West Hollywood when she was spotted wearing a simple black maxi dress, accessorized with a black embellished leather jacket and neutral strappy sandals. And she's "the only girl (in the world)" who can run an errand wearing a cool denim-on-denim look topped with a leopard print faux fur jacket.
RiRi is of course known for her trailblazing, boundary-pushing style choices, especially when pregnant. The famous belly-baring outfit she wore in the Gucci front row during Milan Fashion Week in 2022 alongside boyfriend A$AP Rocky, gave women around the world permission to proudly showcase their pregnant bodies.
