Rihanna's designer addresses 'vile' A$AP Rocky cheating rumours in Instagram statement

A celebrity shoe designer has hit out at 'vile' rumours that A-list couple Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have split over claims of cheating. Amina Muaddi confirmed the singer and her partner, who are expecting a baby together, are still together.

She denied conducting an affair with the rapper behind the pregnant singer's back as she released a statement on Instagram about the 'malicious' rumours. The Paris-based designer spoke out after the internet was flooded with unfounded rumours and reports surrounding the couple's relationship.

The Mirror reports that the pregnant pop star had been claimed to have called time on their relationship after alleged footage of him cheating with her designer Amina came to light, according to XXL. Rihanna is expected to give birth in the coming weeks.

Amina's statement comes after claims Rihanna and ASAP were seen together at a restaurant in Los Angeles, with the singer allegedly spotted crying at the table before leaving without her boyfriend. Shoe designer Amina, who Rihanna is often seen wearing, had been dragged into rumours of a split over suggestions she was 'the other woman' in the now-debunked affair.

Writing on her Instagram Stories on Friday, Amina told her 1.2 million followers she had to "speak up" and set the record straight on the "vile" fake gossip. She said she initially assumed it "would not be taken seriously", but things had escalated over the past day. Amina said Rihanna's pregnancy should be "one of the most beautiful and celebrated times" in her life, and expressed her respect and admiration for the singer.

Her statement reads: "I've always believed that an unfounded lie spread on social media doesn't deserve any response or clarification, especially one that is so vile. I initially assumed that this fake gossip - fabricated with such malicious intent - would not be taken seriously.

"However, in the last 24h I've been reminded that we live in a society that is so quick to speak on topics regardless of factual basis and that nothing is off limits. Not even during what should be one of the most beautiful and celebrated time's in one's life.

"Therefore I have to speak up as this is not only directed towards me but it is related to people I have a great amount of respect and affection for. While Rih is continuing to live her serene, best-dressed pregnancy life and I go back to my business - I wish everyone a beautiful Easter weekend."

Sources close to Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have also denied the fabricated affair - telling TMZ: "100% false on both counts, 1 million per cent not true. They're fine."
