Rihanna defends Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes against ‘hater’ Brandon Marshall

The prank heard around Phoenix, Arizona, took place a few days ago as Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes was on the receiving end of a hilarious one in front of the media. Mahomes was caught off guard by former NFL receiver Brandon Marshall telling him that Rihanna recently said he is “the greatest quarterback ever.

The 2022 NFL MVP was blushing with excitement from that news to eventually have it all come crashing down when Marshall revealed it was a prank. The clip was shared throughout the internet of Mahomes handling the embarrassment with laughter. But he’s now caught the attention of the superstar singer herself. Marshall made sure to get her reaction to the clip while getting the official word on Mahomes as a quarterback.

“So can you tell him something nice?” Marshall asked Rihanna in a video clip from the I Am Athlete Twitter account.

The iconic singer stared at Marshall immediately, saying, “That is so mean. He is mean. OK. I am so sorry you went through that; I still think you’re great.”

Marshall holding back laughter, responded, “See, there’s still nice people in the world.”

Rihanna quickly fired back at the former Pro Bowl receiver, “He’s a hater.”

Rihanna and Patrick Mahomes’ respect for each other is clear. The next move is for Mahomes to respond on the field this weekend. They both will be busy on Sunday, and a Chiefs victory could yield the final response from the two-time league MVP.
