Rihanna continues to lead the way for fun maternity fashion in new skimpy outfit

Rihanna continued to shun boring maternity clothes in favour of bold and eye-catching ensembles over the weekend.

The mum-to-be, 34, styled her growing baby bump in a cute hot pink mini dress on Saturday night, as she enjoyed a late dinner with some pals in Los Angeles.

Rihanna - who is expecting her first child with rapper A$AP Rocky - looked sensational as she made her way out of restaurant Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica in yet another fun and fashionable outfit.

The Rude Boy singer adorned her bump in a figure-hugging hot pink ultra-short mini dress - complete with a unique statement fur trim decorating the hem of the garment.

The Barbadian beauty completed her latest maternity look with a matching fur clutch bag, a statement ring and turquoise blue stiletto heels.

Since revealing her pregnancy by flashing her bare stomach during a walk with partner A$AP Rocky in January, the singer has been praised for continuing to push fashion boundaries and not succumb to society's expectations of pregnant women.

Speaking last month, Rihanna explained how she hasn't rushed to purchase traditional maternity clothes, like jeans and floaty dresses, but instead is choosing to not do "whatever society told me to do before".

"It's been me personally saying, I'm not going to buy maternity clothes," the billionaire beauty mogul told Bustle.

"When I saw women dress during their pregnancy (in the past), I'd think that that was the only way. So I challenged myself to push it further and really just have fun with (maternity style). Because there's nothing more fun than a challenge for me."

She added: "That's where I get creative. That's where I'm forced to come up with new ideas and new ways to make it work."

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky announced to the world they are set to become parents with an outdoor photoshoot in Harlem, New York in January this year.

Rihanna braved the freezing temperatures as she unbuttoned her pink coat to allow photographers to get the first glimpse of her pregnant stomach.

The stylish mum-to-be adorned her bare bump with an elegant gold cross chain which trailed down to her low-rise ripped jeans, with her boyfriend tenderly kissing her as photographers snapped away.

The unborn baby will be the first for the couple, who made their first public appearance at the Met Gala in September 2021.

Last year, the Praise The Lord rapper described his girlfriend as 'the love of his life' as he gushed about their special bond.

"She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones. I think when you know, you know. She’s the one," the star told GQ.

Talking about becoming a father in the future, the rapper replied: "I think I'd be an incredible, remarkably overall amazing dad. I would have a very fly child. Very."
