Rihanna announces pregnancy during Super Bowl halftime show after dropping major hints to fans

Rihanna caused a storm with her eagerly awaited Super Bowl LVII halftime performance last night - and not just with her impressive on stage antics.

The Umbrella singer captivated the crowds at the State Farm Stadium in Arizona, as well as billions tuning in worldwide, as she revealed she's expecting her second baby as she stood proudly on a floating stage at the start of her 13-minute set.

Rihanna, 34, started the show by unveiling her growing baby bump to fans as the camera panned away from her and highlighted her stomach in all its glory, as writes the Mirror.

She was dressed all in red as she opened her jacket to unveil her big baby news as she cradled her bump lovingly.

Belting out her huge back catalogue of hits, Rihanna entertained the masses with a range of hits including Work and We Found Love as fans began to speculate online if the Diamonds songstress was pregnant. She continued to draw attention to her stomach all through the performance - and it was confirmed by her representatives within an hour of her routine drawing to a close that she in fact was.

It comes after the star hinted that fans could expect a big surprise guest, which some people assumed would be Scots DJ Calvin Harris, who was behind mega-hit We Found Love.

Rihanna, who shares a nine-month baby with A$AP Rocky, said during promos last week when she was asked if there would be any surprises lined up: "I'm thinking about bringing someone. I'm not sure. We'll see."

She even giggled and refused to add any more on what she meant when the cameras weren't rolling.

Taking to Twitter, one person wrote: "So Rihanna’s “surprise guest” that she mentioned in an interview recently was baby number 2"

"Me wondering why rihanna didn’t have a special guest and realized afterwards that her special guest was her BABY," tweeted another.

The Kansas City Chiefs won the match 38-35 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
