Rihanna and A$AP Rocky sent the internet into meltdown after the visual for his new music video showed them getting engaged and married.
During the clip, Rihanna, 34, is seen wearing a red bridal gown and veil before her rapper beau smiles at her, with gold grills in his teeth saying “Marry me?”
She smiles back at him and flashes gold grills of her own, which say “I do”. The video marks the directorial debut for 33-year-old A$AP Rocky – real name Rakim Mayers.
Taking to social media to share it with his fans, he wrote: “PROUD 2 ANNOUNCE MY DIRECTORIAL DEBUT D.M.B. VIDEO OUT NOW!!!
“THANK$ 2 ALL INVOLVED WHO HELPED & $PECIAL THANK$ 2 MY LADY FOR THE MOTIVATION & ROLE."
While a source close to the couple told US news outlet TMZ that the “whole thing was just done for fun,” it didn’t stop speculation online that they were either engaged or had secretly got hitched.
Rihanna is currently pregnant with the couple’s first child and expected to give birth very soon.
It has been reported that she plans to have the child in her native Barbados.
Due to her impending motherhood the Fenty Beauty mogul was forced to skip this year’s Met Gala, but was honoured there with a marble statue unveiled in her likeness.
